COCONUT CHUTNEY



Kobbari pacchadi

Ingredients:
Gulla pappu / Fried chana dal / Dhalia – 1/2 cup
Coconut – 1/2 cup
Green Chillies – 4
Ginger – 1/4 inch (optional)
Garlic – 1 small pod (optional)
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Zeera – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Red chillies – 1
Curry leaves – few
Oil
Salt

 Method:
* Poke green chillies with knife or fork.
* In a pan, pour few drops of oil and slightly fry green chillies.
* In a mixer, grind dhalia and green chillies together adding little water into a fine paste.
* Now add grated coconut and salt and grind again.
* Take this into a bowl and add the separately seasoned oil, mustard, zeera, urad dal, red chillies and curry leaves mixture.
